After months undecideds, Miss Lietuva organizers selected Greta Mikalauskytė (1st Runner-up) to represent Lithuania in Miss Universe 2012. Greta was vying the nomination with Egle Standtaité (2nd Runner-up).
As it is written on the official website, one of the reasons for their choice is because she is a sincere girl. Although her heart had always hoped to win, she has not devalued her rival.
